Two types of filters are available:

The grease filter protects your hood by trapping oil particles. An aluminum or stainless steel grease filter requires periodic hand washing with a neutral detergent or in the dishwasher at low temperature (*). A paper grease filter should be changed every month depending on use.

An activated carbon filter is included for hood recirculation and to trap odor particles in the air. It should be changed every 3-4 months. Long-life filters have a longer lifespan: they need to be changed every two years.
