Why use an extractor hood or range hood?
A range hood is essential for fresh breathing in the kitchen!
Its main function is to improve air quality by eliminating combustion fumes, unpleasant cooking odors, and steam, which is harmful to people, furniture, and walls.
Extractor Hood Grease Filter Maintenance:
The first step is to keep the filtration system in good condition to ensure the longevity and proper operation of your extractor hood in both exhaust and recirculation versions.
There are two types of hood grease filters:
The grease filter protects your range hood by trapping oil particles. Grease filters made of aluminum or stainless steel require periodic hand washing with a neutral detergent or in a low-temperature dishwasher (*). Paper grease filters should be changed monthly depending on usage.
Activated carbon filters are attached for recirculating extractor hoods and trap odor particles in the air. They should be changed every 3-4 months. Long-lasting filters have a longer lifespan: they need to be changed every two years.
Simple precautions will help you keep your hood in perfect condition.
