Dishwasher Spring Hinge and Cord - 00754866

The door spring and cable provide the necessary tension to prevent the dishwasher door from falling to the floor when opened. If the spring or cable fails, the door could drop and possibly break or fall on a foot, causing injury. Regular use and repeated opening and closing of the door can cause the springs to stretch or the cord to fray over the cable, both of which lead to failure of the tension system. Replace both using this door spring and cable kit. Before starting this repair, disconnect the power to the dishwasher and remove the bolts holding the machine in place. Pull the dishwasher out from the cabinet. To remove both the cable and springs, remove the old cable from the springs. Install the new cable and install the new springs. Place the dishwasher back in its cabinet and secure it with the screws you removed earlier. Reconnect the power.
