Why should you use an extractor or hood? A hood is essential for breathing clean air in the kitchen! Its main function is to improve air quality by eliminating burning smoke, odor, and steam, which are harmful to both people and furniture and walls.

Maintenance is the first step to ensure the long and proper operation of the hood in both exhaust and recirculation versions, so that the filtration system is in good condition.

Two types of filters are available: the grease filter protects your hood from dripping oil particles. The aluminum or stainless steel grease filter requires periodic washing in the dishwasher or at low temperatures (*) with a neutral detergent. The paper grease filter should be replaced every month depending on use.

The activated carbon filter is installed in recirculation hoods and captures odor particles in the air. It must be replaced every 3-4 months. Long-life filters have a longer lifespan: they must be replaced every two years.
